What if we look at typefaces in a different way? I decided to turn function into compositions instead. I selected 26 typefaces beginning with every letter of the alphabet - and for each, stacked the letters A to Z within a 'box'. I imagined them falling into the space, each must touch without overlap, bleed off the edge or stretched in any way. The resulting 'Letterboxes' were screenprinted onto tote bags, and also printed and framed on my wall. I'm still exploring further applications.
